The paper idea and research problem is very relevant and up-to-date. Green investment gets a great attention nowadays. All the required regression steps were implemented: basic test, robust test, dynamic panel test, and heterogeneity test.

The following improvements should be made:

1.       The data is rather old. It should be renewed to at least 2020 year.

2.       “Literature review” should be retained in only one section title: “Introduction and literature review” or “Literature review and research hypotheses”.

3.       DEA method is usually used to measure efficiency. In this paper, the performance is measured. What is the rationale behind using this method.

4.       Have any previous authors applied DEA method to measure performance related to green investment? Were there any other similar (or contradictory) findings? It should be discussed in Discussion section.

5.       How the paper results impact the general sustainability of the region?

-          Re-edit figure 1: Some words are unreading

-          The work needs some literature review to be able to discuss the results frankly

 

-          Include in the discussion of the results or the review of the literature, advanced works in relation to the subject of the work. Considers Why is it important to know the research on this topic?

Dear authors,
The paper has been improved. Some minor remarks:
1. Figure 1 is not included in the manuscript. Please add Figure 1.
2. In line 210 "Referring to Duanmu's practice, this paper intends to use the necessary inputs...", Duanmu's practice is expected to have a particular reference from the list of references.
3. In the "5.3 Recommendations" section you explain the practical value of your research results and their contribution to sustainability. These are your findings and implications, thus, there should not be any citation in this place.
