Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The comments are embedded as sticky notes in the manuscript itself. Please see those. Discussion part can be further improved with more logical reasoning and in light of more similar published works. Conclusion should be based on your findings and compact. Please give practical suggestions/recommendations based on your study area. Anyway the work is impressive but on improvement will be an excellent read for the international readers who will really repeat such type of work in their region.

Dear Authors,

your manuscript is presented clearly and fluently.

It is interesting to know a very different reality from the European one.

The literature on the subject should be implemented more, as there is really a lot of it.

Check the bibliography following the rules of the journal.

  • Results presentation is little confusing, this could be mitigated by including separate rows for each of the variables measured in the table. Many of the values seem overlapping and hard to discern. This is recommended for all tables that display results as well.
  • For table 5, it would be helpful to add labels of the variable to the Models listed.
  • Overall, well written article on the topic of agricultural land financing and different values among farmers.

I thank the authors for giving me the opportunity to read their interesting paper; I only provide some limited suggestions to improve some parts:
1) explain better how the questionnaire was administered (online, interviews, ...)
2) comment on whether the results are extensible, or if the sample is statistically representative or if it represents a type of farm spread across the territory
3) highlight the limits of the work and possible research developments
