Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a sound academic contribution with opportunities for practical implementation.  As the socio-political situation within the world becomes tense and uncertain, the concepts of security and safety become increasingly relevant.  This is a fine paper that does an extensive investigation of the existing literature concerning sustainability, security, and safety education.  The presentation of the methodology, data, results, and conclusions is clear.  I wholeheartedly support this article's acceptance.

There are some minor typographical/punctuation errors.  The abstract contains a few of these, unfortunately.  Some periods are missing.  Please correct these.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

thank you so much for your kind review. Thanks to this review, I made sure that the idea for the article could be valuable for Sustainability readers.

I sent my manuscript for a proofreading to fix problems with punctuation. I also improved Conclusions and added literature from 2021 due to a request of a second reviewer. Again, thank you very much.

Kind regards.

Reviewer 2 Report

The link between Security and Safety Education and Sustainability is particularly timely, and the modernization of the Polish education system offers an excellent opportunity for a concrete analysis. The author's original RQ questioning formulated in the introduction of the study also points to a topical problem from an international perspective. The given approach can be considered up-to-date based on the analyzes in the literature.

A valuable new original part of the article is analyzing text mining results and indicators of scientific interest. In 10 databases, the author undertook to perform a thematic relational analysis for a publication selected between 2017-2021 according to critical concepts. The increase in citation indicators in recent years is remarkable. The given approach provides an opportunity to present the results in the World Frequency Query context in the context of Sustainability Goals.

In Chapter 4 (Discussion) of the study, the author analyzes the results in sufficient detail and points out that the relative scarcity of the analysis period presents a constraint. In this context, references to 2021 should be considered, and it would be appropriate to regard 2020 as a final but full year. What is described in the Conclusions seems a bit general. It would be expedient to summarize the specific Polish characterization item by item and refer more specifically to the possibilities of further international analyzes, newer and more complex research directions.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

thank you very much for your kind review and suggestions concerning literature and Conclusions.

I fully agree that I should add literature from 2021. I inserted 4 newer positions from 2021 and two more from 2020 (to the Conclusions part). Additionally, I itemized main thoughts in the Conclusions and referred more specifically to the possibilities of further international analyzes, newer and more complex research directions (I indicated the examples). Due to the changes, I made the Abstract and Introduction consistent with the Conlusions. I believe and feel that the changes improved the quality of the paper.

I also sent my manuscript for a proofreading to eliminate technical errors.

Again, thank you very much for your inspirational comments.

Kind regards.
