Personality, Anxiety, and Stress in Patients with Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth Syndrome. The Polish Preliminary Study
Abstract
:1. Introduction
- Patients with SIBO experience higher levels of neuroticism and lower levels of extroversion than those without SIBO.
- Patients with SIBO experience a higher situational anxiety-state than those without SIBO.
- Patients with SIBO experienced higher stress levels than those in the non-SIBO subgroup.
- The personality and stress correlation in patients with SIBO are significantly different from those in the non-SIBO subgroup.
