Colloids and Interfaces | Five New Sections Established

In order to specifically develop different research areas and attract more high-quality papers, under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Reinhard Miller, Colloids and Interfaces (ISSN: 2504-5377) has established five new Sections.

New Sections:

  • “Colloidal Systems”—This Section is dedicated to all manuscripts dealing with dispersions, emulsions, and foams, and other structured colloidal systems. It includes, for example, particles and their modification for the design of disperse systems like Pickering foams and emulsions;
  • “Interfacial Properties”—All types of interfaces between different phases are considered in this Section. The main aim is to publish manuscripts on investigations of the modification of the properties of these interfaces by theoretical approaches or by various types of experiments;
  • “Self-Assembling Phenomena”—The Section on self-assembling phenomena seeks manuscripts describing (theoretically as well as experimentally) the processes of aggregate or structure formations at interfaces or in bulk phases;
  • “Fluid Dynamics and Multiphase Flows”—This Section is dedicated to studies of the flow behavior of single liquids or of several fluids in the absence or the presence of added surface-active or not-surface-active compounds;
  • “Application of Colloids and Interfacial Aspects”—There are various types of applications for colloidal systems, such as in cosmetics, pharmacy, food technology, and many technologies in which interfaces play a pivotal role. This Section of our journal is dedicated to manuscripts dealing with such practical works.

Additionally, we are currently recruiting for Section Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, and Guest Editors for these new Sections.
