Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue of Axioms on "Fuzzy Systems and Decision-Making Analytics" aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers and practitioners to enable researchers to publish the latest developments, applications, and innovations in the field of fuzzy systems and decision-making analytics. Fuzzy systems, which are built on the principles of fuzzy logic, have proven to be powerful tools for handling uncertainty and imprecision in decision-making processes. Decision-making analytics, on the other hand, leverage advanced data analytics techniques to facilitate informed and effective decision making.
Scope Highlights:
- Fuzzy Logic and Reasoning: This Special Issue welcomes contributions related to the theoretical foundations of fuzzy logic and reasoning. Authors are encouraged to explore new methodologies, algorithms, and approaches for fuzzy modelling and inference;
- Fuzzy Systems Applications: We invite research papers and case studies that demonstrate the practical applications of fuzzy systems across various domains, including engineering, healthcare, finance, and more;
- Decision-Making Analytics: This Special Issue covers the broader area of decision-making analytics, including but not limited to data-driven decision support, machine learning for decision-making, and optimization techniques;
- Hybrid Approaches: Research articles that propose hybrid approaches, combining fuzzy systems with other computational intelligence techniques such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, or swarm intelligence, are of particular interest;
- Uncertainty Management: Given the inherent uncertainty in real-world data, we encourage submissions that address uncertainty modelling, management, and propagation within decision-making processes;
- Practical Implementations: Manuscripts describing the implementation of fuzzy systems and decision-making analytics in real-world scenarios, along with discussions of challenges and lessons learned, are highly encouraged;
- Interdisciplinary Research: We welcome interdisciplinary research that bridges the gap between fuzzy systems, decision-making analytics, and other fields such as artificial intelligence, operations research, and data science.
Relationship to Existing Literature:
This Special Issue builds upon and complements the existing literature on fuzzy systems and decision-making analytics. It seeks to provide a current snapshot of the state-of-the-art in these fields, highlighting emerging trends and novel applications. While there are existing journals and conferences dedicated to fuzzy systems and analytics, this Issue aims to consolidate recent advancements into a focused collection, making it easier for researchers and practitioners to access cutting-edge research.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Axioms is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
