Agrochemicals | Aims and Scope Update

To further enhance the quality of Agrochemicals (ISSN: 2813-3145), under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Christos G. Athanassiou, the journal has updated its aims and scope. All new updates can be seen below:

Aims (new version):

Aims (old version):

Agrochemicals (ISSN 2813-3145) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original experimental and theoretical research on all aspects of agrochemicals. The journal primarily focuses on the publication of research articles, reviews, and communications; however, other article types will also be considered. There is no restriction on the maximum length of papers submitted to and/or published in the journal. Full experimental details should be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Agrochemicals is particularly focused on the different types of chemicals used or have been used in the agro-food chain, within the “from farm to fork” framework, using a holistic approach. As such, the journal Agrochemicals includes research performed with different types of chemicals that have been, are currently being, or will be used in agriculture, in different crops and orchards, including the post-harvest stages of agricultural commodities and their processing. We welcome submissions related to agrochemicals, including substances such as synthetic chemical compounds that are generally used in farming, which range from fertilizers and soil conditioners to plant protection products and plant growth regulators (as defined by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)). Moreover, based on different regulations (such as Regulation (EC) No. 396/2005 and Directive 2009/128/EC and the regulations of the Codex Alimentarius Commission), aspects related to the utilization and application of agrochemicals, concerning consumer and environmental protection, are also key focuses of Agrochemicals, such as provisions concerning the levels of pesticides and relative substance residues in food and feed. Lastly, we welcome submissions focused on good agricultural practice in terms of the application of agrochemicals and their sustainable use to achieve an integrated approach in the agro-food chain.
