Thomson Reuters has released the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), showing an impressive increase to the impact factor for Energies.

The 2011 impact factor for Energies is 1.865 (up from 1.130).

Professor Enrico Sciubba, the Editor-in-Chief, wishes to thank all of the individuals who contributed to this truly exceptional performance: the Editorial Office, the MDPI organization, the Editorial Board and most of all the authors, who have submitted very good manuscripts, and the reviewers, who volunteered their time and knowledge to substantially improve the quality of the papers.

To date, Energies has published over 400 articles with 345 citations in 2011, making the journal one of the most successful archival publications in the energy arena. We wish to reassure our readers and our perspective authors that we consider this as a first step towards an evermore successful operation of our Energies journal.
