Empowering Academic Growth with MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, 30 March 2026, Thailand


MDPI is excited to launch the Academic Publishing Workshop, a new collaborative initiative with the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. This partnership underscores our joint dedication to fostering interdisciplinary research capable of tackling pressing global issues through creative approaches, collaborative partnerships, and transformative outcomes.

Marking an ongoing alliance aimed at enhancing research excellence, this workshop will empower participants at KMUTT's Faculty of Engineering by highlighting current trends in scholarly publishing, encouraging open access practices, and facilitating direct dialogue with journal editors and field experts. Designed with early-stage researchers and innovators in mind, the sessions will equip attendees with practical tools to amplify their academic impact and cultivate international research connections. Biography

Prof. Dr. Pornkasem Jongpradist is an Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). He oversees the academic-capacity-building of graduate students to conduct in-depth research with scholarly impact and supports their graduation.

Biography

Dr. Thridsawan Prasopdee obtained her Ph.D. in Nanomaterials Science from the Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University. She joined MDPI in June 2023 as an Assistant Editor for Sustainability and has been serving as a Section Managing Editor since January 2025.

Dr. Krit Inthajak obtained his PhD in engineering and technology from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. He joined MDPI in March 2020 as an Assistant Editor for Molecules. He was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and worked as a Group Leader from 2021 to 2024. He is now one of MDPI’s Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region.

Ms. Ploy Assavajamroon obtained her master’s degree in chemistry from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2020 and joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Crystals in the same year. She became a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and a Group Leader in 2022. She is currently one of MDPI's Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region.

 

Dr. Siriporn Tantiwatcharothai obtained her Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. She joined MDPI in December 2022 as an Assistant Editor for Catalysts. In 2024, she was promoted to Section Managing Editor, and as of April 2025, she has been serving as the Chief Section Managing Editor.
