This year marks the 10th anniversary of Fishes (ISSN: 2410-3888, IF: 2.4), an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published monthly online by MDPI. The journal features original research, critical reviews and syntheses covering the broad research area of fishes and aquatic animals. It serves as a central resource and reference point for those interested in fish, molluscs, crustaceans, marine mammals, and zooplankton, which includes all freshwater and marine animals.
Since the establishment of Fishes in 2016, the journal has published over 2542 papers, including more than 454 that have been cited at least 10 times. Over the past 10 years, Fishes has become an important forum for studies related to the field of fisheries and aquaculture.
