Recruiting Editorial Board Members for Future Transportation


To meet the demands of Future Transportation’s rapid growth and ensure the publication of high-quality articles that are freely distributed within the community, we are currently recruiting academic editors worldwide to join our Editorial Board. If you would like to participate as an Editorial Board Member, please refer to the guide below and submit your application accordingly.

Editorial Board Member responsibilities:

  • Pre-screening and making decisions on new submissions relating to your research interests;
  • Setting up at least one Special Issue during your term on a topic relating to your research interests (or supervising Special Issues relating to your research field);
  • Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
  • Helping promote the journal among your peers or at conferences;
  • Attending Board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
  • Reviewing manuscripts.

Future Transportation (ISSN: 2673-7590) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, which publishes research on emerging technologies and potential applications in all areas of transportation and other disciplines, such as civil engineering, economics, the environment and geography, and computer science. The journal is a platform for research and findings concerning transportation studies and related topics, including transportation system design and planning, logistics, accident research, transportation policy and governance, tourism, and travel behavior. It was launched in 2021 and is indexed within ESCI (Web of Science)ScopusEBSCO, and other databases. Future Transportation received a new IF of 1.7 from JCR in 2024, which equals a rank of Q3 in the “Transportation Science and Technology” category. The journal also received a new CiteScore of 3.8 from Scopus in 2024, which equals a rank of Q2 in the “Engineering (miscellaneous)” category.
