Recruiting Editorial Board Members for Lubricants

Lubricants (ISSN: 2075-4442, IF: 3.1) is currently recruiting Editorial Board Members. A list of our current Board Members can be found at https://www.mdpi.com/journal/lubricants/editors.

Lubricants is a peer-reviewed, open access journal of tribology and closely related disciplines, published monthly online by MDPI. It is indexed within Scopus, SCIE (Web of Science), Inspec, CAPlus/SciFinder, and other databases. 

The main responsibilities of Editorial Board Members include the following:

  • Pre-screening and making decisions on new submissions related to their research interests;
  • Setting up at least one Special Issue during their term on a topic related to their research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to their research fields);
  • Helping to attract suitable expert authors and inviting young scholars to join the Early Career Editorial Board;
  • Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
  • Helping to promote the journal among peers or at conferences;
  • Attending Board meetings to suggest journal development strategies;
  • Reviewing manuscripts or helping to identify suitable reviewers for the journal.

The benefits of being an Editorial Board Member include the following:

  • Publishing one paper free of charge per year in Lubricants and receiving potential discounts for additional invited papers;
  • A certificate of recognition as an Editorial Board Member of Lubricants;
  • Additional sponsorships for conferences organized by Editorial Board Members;
  • Taking advantage of the website or Board to announce conferences (which can be sponsored by Lubricants) and disseminate news, position openings, or any message useful to the scientific community.
