We are pleased to announce a new journal in the field of vascular medicine. Journal of Vascular Diseases (JVD) (ISSN: 2813-2475) will provide a deeper understanding of the different fields of vascular medicine [1]. This new journal will share basic, translational and clinical science research from around the world with easy access. We are all familiar with how vascular medicine is changing the way we are treating our patients via new discoveries, particularly in epidemiology, surgical approaches, and basic science research. JVD will make sure that knowledge is shared among the different medical centers around the world in a timely fashion. JVD aims to give different vascular research programs around the world the opportunity for their important research work to be published and shared in a constructive way.
JVD will also have the obligation and commitment of helping vascular researchers, physicians, and surgeons to publish their research in a journal that will play an important role in the vascular community. This journal will mark the beginning of a new stage of development, as it will seek to position itself firmly in the field of vascular medicine. The journal will build substantial international support and also strive for a consistently high standard of publication.
The first phase of the journal is focusing on expanding the editorial board to embrace top vascular experts from all around the world. Over time, the journal will extend additional invitations, and we hope to be able to welcome more vascular experts.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank current editorial members for their commitment to the standard to which JVD aspires. As part of our future strategy, the journal will offer publication space to special and supplemental issues associated with research from medical centers that have no access to other journals on vascular medicine.
JVD will publish papers covering a broad range of areas, including experimental, theoretical, and clinical studies on cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular diseases. We at JVD look forward to working with all of you and are fully committed to making this journal a success. We welcome your submissions, as well as your feedback as a vascular researcher, physician, surgeon, or vascular team member.
