Missing Citations

In the original publication (Mansoury Babhoutak et al., 2023), O’Toole et al. (2003), Van Alstein (2018) and (Thomas & Thomas, 1928) were not cited.
O’Toole et al. (2003) has now been inserted in “Section 1, Paragraph 3, Sentence 3” and should read:
“Still, these results are mostly debated among scholars, which overlooks young adolescents’ views on social cohesion (see research on political participation, e.g., [11]).”
Van Alstein (2018) has now been inserted in “Section 1.1, Paragraph 5, Sentence 2” and should read:
“Bickmore’s reasoning (2007) states that controversies are indispensable to coexistence, arguing that whether conflict occurs destructively or constructively depends on how it is handled [37,38]”.
(Thomas & Thomas, 1928) has now been inserted in “Section 4, Paragraph 11, Sentence 6” and should read:
“Although teachers might be sceptical regarding adolescents’ subjective feelings, they are real, as real as their behaviour and attitudes [77].”
In the original publication (Mansoury Babhoutak et al., 2023), original reference [26] were not cited correctly.
Hess (2009) has now been inserted in “Section 1.1, Paragraph 4, Sentence 1” and should read:
“In turn, controversies are an inevitable part of a pluralistic society [24].”
With this correction, the order of some references has been adjusted accordingly.

Text Correction

A correction has been made to “Section 1, Paragraph 4, Sentence 3” for the reference citation “(Sears and Brown, 2013)” in the main text, which was in the wrong reference format and is revised as “[13]”:
“Additionally, cognitive development and social learning during this period are notable in adolescents’ lifelong identification, civic engagement and openness to change [13]”.
A correction has been made to “Section 1.2., Paragraph 4, Sentence 3”; “especially among the majority” has been deleted and replaced by the sentence. The corrected text should be as follows:
“Moreover, especially for the majority group, interacting between groups helps reduce prejudice [48].”
A correction has been made to “Section 3.1, Paragraph 2, Sentence 1”, “Armenianorigin” is revised to “Armenian origin”. The correct text should be as follows:
“For example, Respondent 18, who is from Armenian origin, described the animosity with two classmates from Turkish origin about the Armenian genocide as follows, ‘[…] I only see blood in their eyes […]’.”
A correction has been made to “Section 3.1., Paragraph 4, Sentence 3”. The word “unforgettable” has been revised to “tragic”. The correct text should be as follows:
“Nevertheless, delving further into these tragic events, we specifically asked interviewees about their thoughts on Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons, whereby we discovered that 19 of the 34 respondents disapproved of the use of humor with respect to religion.”
