1. Description of the Conference

The main aim of this event is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, and to present the latest trends in the field of metallurgy. For many years, this conference has provided experts from science, industry and other fields with an international forum that promotes the discussion of current problems in this industrial sector.
This applies primarily to issues related to the production of iron and steel and non-ferrous metals, but also to urgent and topical issues such as industrial energy and the processing and recycling of waste. This is related to the task that will represent the main focus of the metal industry in the coming years: decarbonization.
One of the undoubted advantages of this conference is its harmonious synthesis of knowledge from the scientific community and industrial practice. Such integration enables a comprehensive overview of the development of the metal sector, considering issues such technological development, environmental protection, the generation and management of waste, and energy savings.

2. Main Research Areas:

  • Iron and steel production;
  • Processes for obtaining non-ferrous metals;
  • The processing and recycling of waste materials;
  • The modelling of metallurgical processes;
  • The decarbonization of the metallurgical industry.

3. Additional Research Areas:

  • Innovations in metallurgical processes;
  • Modern methods of analysis and quality control in metallurgy;
  • The use of new materials in metallurgical processes;
  • Research on energy efficiency in metal production;
  • Industry 4.0 in metallurgical enterprises;
  • Research regarding the impact of metallurgy on the environment and the possibility of process optimization;
  • New directions in the design of metal alloys.
