Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript provided by Scanlon et al. is well-written and quite interesting for me as an immunologist. Still there is space for some improvements and I recommend the following points to be considered:

  • clarify the affiliation details provided (for the affil. 4 you provided the name of the co-author; please correct and provide the exact affiliation)
  • author's should further clarify the role/duty to the Phigenics since from the information seems so that almost everyone is working there for this company. I have read also the Confict of Interest section but still is unclear from which perspective has this study been made (from the Mel and Enig College or Phigenics)?
  • The author's should provide a detailed description (figure legend) of each figure, especially for Fig. 1.
  • The author's must report any microbiological analysis that should be made to confirm the safety of water (if possible, include it as a new part in the results and discuss it properly).

Minor issues in regard to the text and formatting will be checked by the journal (I expect so).

Reviewer 2 Report

In this very nice manuscript, the authors describe a water management tool that they have developed for construction projects to limit infection control risks. The authors do an excellent job describing this tool and presenting the limitations associated with using this type of method.

This is a very well written manuscript and I do not have any specific comments. It is well suited for publication in Infectious Disease Reports.
