Internet of Things Receives Its First CiteScore of 5.2


We are pleased to inform you that the Internet of Things (IoT, ISSN: 2624-831X) has been assigned its first CiteScore of 5.2 for June 2023.

This achievement is worthy of congratulations for all concerned!

IoT’s CiteScore ranks as follows:

  • Q1 (30 out of 151) in the "Engineering (miscellaneous)" category;
  • Q1 (24 out of 103) in the "Computer Science (miscellaneous)" category;
  • Q2 (214 out of 738) in the "Electrical and Electronic Engineering" category.

CiteScore is now a standard citation metric alongside SNIP and SJR that gives an up-to-date view of a journal’s impact. CiteScore metrics for 2023 are calculated by dividing the total number of citations of peer-reviewed articles in a journal from 2019 to 2022 by the total number of peer-reviewed articles published in the journal over the same period.
