Virtual Worlds | Aims Update

To further enhance the quality of Virtual Worlds and the papers published in it, under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Anton Nijholt, the journal has updated and revised its aims. The original aims and the updated version are listed below:

Aims (new version): Aims (old version):

Virtual Worlds (ISSN: 2813-2084) is an international, cross-disciplinary, scholarly, peer-reviewed, open access journal on Virtual Reality, Augmented and Mixed Reality technologies, and their uses.

Virtual Worlds primarily publishes regular research articles, reviews and concept papers, but other article types will also be considered. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible.  There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers.  For theory papers, full details of proof must be provided so that results can be verified.  For experimental papers, full experimental details must be provided so that results can be reproduced.  Additionally, electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculations, experimental procedures, etc., can be deposited along with the submission as “Supplementary Material”.
