Celebrating Peer Review Week, 2327 September 2024

International Peer Review Week is a celebration of the peer review process and its crucial role in academia. This independent, community-led effort highlights the essential role of peer review in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of academic work.

MDPI is joining forces with institutions, organizations, publishers, and individuals from around the world to highlight that reliable peer review, in any format, is key to upholding integrity in scholarly publishing.

The 2024 Peer Review Week, set for September 23−27, will focus on "Innovation and Technology in Peer Review." Over the course of the week, we will host online webinars from both Europe and Asia-Pacific, in-person events in China, publish new blogs and articles exploring the week’s theme, and provide content across our social platforms to highlight MDPI’s peer review process and the ongoing vital role of peer review in shaping scholarly communication.

Our editorial process is bolstered by a network of dedicated reviewers, a team of over 6000 diligent, well-trained staff members, and an in-house article submission platform that was designed to ensure efficient processes.

We make it a point to continually improve the experiences of both our authors and our reviewers throughout the entire editorial process, from submission to publication. This is why we regularly ask for feedback through conducting surveys. Here is what some of our respondents had to say about working with MDPI:
