Recruiting Hematology or Orthopedic Editorial Board Members for Medicina

In order to further enhance the international influence of Medicina (ISSN: 1648-9144), promote the academic exchange of young scientists, and support our current Editorial Board Members, we are establishing a Hematology and Orthopedic Editorial Board for Medicina (2024–2025), and outstanding young scholars are invited to join!

Application eligibility:

  • Scholars who have made significant research achievements in the fields of blood and its components, such as blood cells, hemoglobin, blood proteins, bone marrow, platelets, blood vessels, the spleen, and the coagulation mechanism. Scholars contributing to orthopedics and related disease fields are also welcome;
  • People willing to spend time contributing to the development of the journal with passion and enthusiasm;
  • People who received their Ph.D. less than 10 years ago;
  • Preference will be given to scholars who preside over national-level scientific research projects or have overseas experience.

The main responsibilities of Editorial Board Members are as follows:

  • Prescreening and making decisions on new submissions that are related to your research interests;
  • Setting up at least one Special Issue during your term on a topic related to your research interests (or supervising Special Issues related to your research field);
  • Providing input or feedback regarding journal policies;
  • Helping to promote the journal among your peers or at conferences;
  • Attending Board meetings and suggesting journal development strategies;
  • Reviewing manuscripts;
  • Helping to invite suitable authors to submit their work and young scholars to join the Topical Advisory Panel.

The benefits of being an Editorial Board Member are as follows:

  • A certificate of Editorial Board membership will be provided. An Editorial Board membership is valid for two years and can then be renewed;
  • The resumes of Editorial Board Members will be publicized on journal media platforms to improve their academic visibility;
  • The journal will regularly acknowledge those who participate in the peer review process on the journal’s website;
  • This role also offers opportunities to exchange ideas with internationally influential researchers in this field and opportunities to participate or host annual meetings and online seminars organized by the Editor-in-Chief and other Editorial Board Members.

Selection process:
Initial screening of applications → selection of new members by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members → email notification → certificate of appointment issued.
