It is our great pleasure to share the news that the 2023 Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM, ISSN: 2077-0383) Editorial Board Meeting of the Section “Cardiology” was held on 21 November 2023, conducted by the Section Editor-in-Chiefs, Prof. Dr.  Maciej Banach and Prof. Dr. Gregory Y. H. Lip.

The meeting started with a presentation about the development of the journal and the Section “Cardiology”, with the following information presented:

1. Journal history, publication statistics, distribution of scholars (2018–2023), open access benefits, journal awards, conference sponsorship, and promotion on social media;
2. Section Editorial Board Member distribution, decision-making statistics, and Section statistics.

The meeting mainly discussed the quality control of manuscripts, feature paper invitations, reviewer awards, the direction of article types, Special Issue collaboration, conference suggestions, and social media promotion. Based on the discussion, the journal plans to enrich reviewer award applications, be more present at conferences in the field, keep an eye on hot topics and research fronts, and have social media ambassadors to improve promotion.

We would like to thank every Editorial Board Member and the academics for their great support. We look forward to receiving more support and suggestions so that we can continue our progress together.
