Earth Seeks New Editor-in-Chief

It is our pleasure to announce that Earth is now open for submission. In addition, we are inviting applications for the role of Editor-in-Chief.

Earth (ISSN 2673-4834) aims to be an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides rapid publication of articles across the entire spectrum of Earth and space sciences. The journal focuses on all aspects of interaction between humans and the Earth’s environment, resources, energy, and ecosystems, as well as interaction from deep interiors to the exterior of the earth itself. The goal of Earth is to provide a platform for multidisciplinary research from the natural, social, and applied sciences to enable the Earth to continue supporting life. It publishes regular research papers, communications, letters, short notes, and reviews.

The Editor-in-Chief has the final responsibility for editorial decisions regarding all content in the journal, as well as developing and implementing the strategic vision for the journal.

Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

  • Refine the journal’s aims and scope;
  • Invite additional scientists to join the Editorial Board;
  • Oversee the editorial process, with a main responsibility being making the final decision on whether a paper can be published after peer-review and revisions.

Additionally, you may invite a Co-Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors if you are inclined to accept the position but need to share the workload.
