We are pleased to announce that a new scholar has been appointed Editorial Board Member (EBM) for Quaternary (ISSN: 2571-550X), effective October 2025. We wish our new member success in both his research and his efforts to develop the journal.

Prof. Dr. Zhimin Jian is currently Dean of the School of Ocean and Earth Science at Tongji University and co-chair of the Scientific Committee of the Past Global Changes (PAGES) project. He was elected an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023.
He has long been engaged in teaching and research in marine geology, achieving systematic and innovative results in the study of the paleoceanography of the Western Pacific and paleoclimate of East Asia, particularly in the study of paleoclimate evolution mechanisms.
