Drones Best PhD Thesis Award—Winner Announced

Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

It is our great pleasure to announce the winner of the Drones 2024 Best PhD Thesis Award. This award is given in recognition of a PhD student or recently qualified PhD who has produced a highly anticipated thesis with great academic potential.
The award has been granted to the following thesis:
“UAV Detection Based on Adaptive Radar Signal Processing”
by Ahmed Sayed, University of Waterloo, Canada
The winner will receive an honorarium of CHF 800, an electronic certificate, and a voucher to waive the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for one submission in the Drones (ISSN: 2504-446X) journal (subject to peer review)—valid for one year.
