COVID Receives Its First CiteScore of 2.3


We are pleased to share that COVID (ISSN: 2673-8112) has been assigned its first CiteScore of 2.3 in June 2025, following its inclusion in Scopus (Elsevier) in 2024. The CiteScore ranks the journal 18 out of 38 titles (Q2) in the “Immunology and Microbiology (miscellaneous)” category, 207 out of 433 titles (Q2) in the “Medicine (miscellaneous)” category, an impressive achievement for a journal running in Volume 5.

The current CiteScores measure the average number of citations within a journal over a four-year window (2021–2024). The Scopus database provides a comprehensive suite of metrics that support informed publishing strategies, research evaluation and enable benchmarking of journal performance.
