MDPI
MDPI is an organization for deposit and exchange of molecular and biomolecular samples. Founded and registered in 1996, its headquarters are located in Basel, Switzerland. The missions of MDPI are:
- to permanently preserve historically significant research chemical samples in the chemical museum in Basel, Switzerland
- to share and exchange any other rare chemical samples worldwide, and to make the samples readily available to other professionals by publishing in MDPI's searchable database at the www.molmall.org server
- to publish electronic, open access journals
MDPI has been expanding its open access publishing activities since 2006, and has setup an Editorial Office in Basel, Switzerland. More recently two other Editorial Offices were setup in Beijing, P.R. China.
