4 April–26 September 2024 Landscape and Heritage of the Ciudad Universitaria: EXPLORING THE ARCHIVES

Madrid, Spain

In 2027, Ciudad Universitaria, the main campus of the Madrid Region celebrates its 100th anniversary, an event that will be preceded by a series of cultural, institutional and academic events linked to its history, its legacy and its future. As part of these events, a series of critical meetings have been planned to debate the heritage, the landscape and the architecture of the Ciudad Universitaria campus, the challenges they face and the opportunities they offer.

The first of these events will be a series of research seminars on the main architectural archives that document the buildings and urban planning of the Ciudad Universitaria campus: the archive of the Historical Service of the Architects Association of Madrid (COAM), the archive of the ETSAM Madrid School of Architecture, and the historical archive of the Complutense University. The main objective is to investigate and disseminate documentary collections of tremendous value, which will undoubtedly be of great use in the debate on the cultural heritage of the Ciudad Universitaria campus in its centenary.

The meeting is coordinated by Nicolas Marine in collaboration with Architects Association of Madrid (COAM), Fundación Arquitectura, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Complutense University of Madrid, and will take place throughout 2024.

Dublin, Ireland

We are happy to invite interested parties to participate in the Third International Symposium on Climate-Resilient Agri-Environmental Systems (ISCRAES 2024) from June 25th to 28th, 2024 at the UCD University Club, Dublin 04, Ireland. The main theme is "REFRAMING STRATEGIES FOR LOW CARBON FUTURE IN AGRO-FARMING SYSTEMS", with our goal being to engage with agro-environmental sustainability amidst climate challenges by addressing GHG emissions, environmental impacts, and the role of agriculture in GHG mitigation. The symposium will also cover climate change impacts, environmental degradation, biodiversity, circular bio-economy, and modelling and sustainability issues within our twelve main themes. The conference will provide a platform for discussing a range of technical, regulatory, and socio-economic aspects.

Renowned speakers with global expertise in both the scientific and political domains pertaining to these areas have already been confirmed.

The deadline for abstract submission is 30 April 2024. For abstract submission and registration, please visit: www.iscraes.org.

Any presenting authors intend to publish their high-quality research works, covering the themes of the symposium as full papers, will be welcomed. An arrangement has already been made with MDPI, and for more information and submission guidelines: https://www.mdpi.com/topics/1SJV266OC4.

It publishes review articles, regular research articles, communications, and short notes in the fields of structural, functional, and experimental botany. In addition to fundamental disciplines such as the morphology, systematics, physiology, and ecology of plants, the journal welcomes all types of articles in the field of applied plant science.

Climate (ISSN 2225-1154) was established in 2013 to provide an open access outlet for innovative research, review articles, new paper directions, and short communications relevant to all disciplines related to climate at all scales. The journal encourages papers ranging from climate change detection and attribution and Earth system modeling to ecosystem, hydrologic, and socioeconomic impacts and climate mitigation and adaptation measures. The influence of Climate is strong and growing (IF 3.7 in 2022, CiteScore 5.2 in 2022).

Land (ISSN 2073-445X) is an international, cross-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, open access journal of land system science, landscape, soil–sediment–water systems, urban study, land–climate interactions, water–energy–land–food (WELF) nexus, biodiversity research and health nexus, land modelling and data processing, ecosystem services, multifunctionality and sustainability, etc., published online monthly by MDPI. It publishes reviews, regular research papers, communications, and short notes without restriction on the maximum length of the papers.
