Modern concepts in natural product drug discovery for tropical diseases
The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for discussion of key concepts in natural product drug discovery in relation to tropical disease research, including IP strategies and benefit sharing agreements. The workshop will include a number of seminars, a hands-on component where sample collection and optimization of extraction, fractionation and isolation methods will be demonstrated, as well as the opportunity to see world-class facilities dedicated to extract/compound storage and management and state-of-the-art HTS and imaging in action.
