New Technologies in Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry

Synopsis

The prudent application of relevant new technologies in medicinal chemistry is one way to increase the quality and efficiency of drug discovery. Everyone working in the pharmaceutical industry is very aware of the need for improved productivity. The cost of R&D continues to grow rapidly while the number of new drugs being brought to the market has dwindled which has led to the recent significant reductions in the in-house research efforts in large pharmaceutical companies. The RSC High Throughput Chemistry and New Technologies Group and SCI\'s Fine Chemicals Group have organised this one day symposium to highlight recent advances in technology-enabled drug discovery as well as new synthetic technologies with particular relevance to medicinal chemistry. This will be the sixth meeting in this symposium series.

Who should attend?

This conference is aimed at scientists and managers in pharmaceutical, agrochemical and biotechnology companies in addition to students and academics from universities and research institutions.
