Biological Variability: A Challenge in Therapeutics and Drug Design

Dear Colleagues,

Variability is inherent to all biological systems, from genes to whole organs. The importance of this variability in adaptation to environmental changes and evolutionary processes has been recognized in recent years. The role of biological variability in improving the molecular diagnosis and treatment of patients is gaining much attention. This Special Issue aims to determine the challenges of biological variability in drug design and molecular therapeutics. Developing platforms to overcome variability and take advantage of this fundamental biological process is essential to improving the accuracy of personalized therapies and the response to therapeutic interventions.
