Cancers: Drug Design, Development and Therapy

Dear Colleagues,

As the name suggests, this Special Issue will focus on drug design, development and therapy. Although cancer is the most dreaded disease of our time, significant advancements have made in drug design, delivery and modes of treatment. In addition, over two hundred diseases with common characteristics of uncontrolled growth and metastasis are now termed as cancer. While significant progress has been achieved for treatment against certain cancers, some other cancers remain much more challenging. The two main problems in cancer are acquired drug resistance and side effects. Recent studies show that synergistic combinations of targeted therapy with tumour active phytochemicals can offer an effective means of overcoming drug resistance and reducing the side effects. It should also be noted that artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in cancer diagnosis and treatment. So, in this volume, we invite research papers and reviews on drug development, therapy and modes of treatments applied to all forms of cancers.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
