Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

On March 25th European Union (EU) member countries will meet in Rome to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome that created the European Economic Community. In spite of all its achievements over the past 60 years, the EU is at a cross roads as the growing problems—Brexit being but one example—it faces may have serious implications for its future.

We are seeking papers that provide greater understanding of the interaction between different agents (citizens, parties, governments, levels of government) at the country or EU level and how their interactions help the EU address its current problems when multiple agents with different preferences influence—directly or indirectly—the future of the EU.
