Walking the Line 2018: Simulating Line Emission from Galaxies

Line emission from the Interstellar Medium (ISM) of galaxies carries information that can can help us understand galaxy evolution. Observing line emission at different wavelengths, has the prospect of revealing amount, composition and state of the ISM, as well as trace galaxy properties such as star formation rate (SFR), metallicity and dynamics. Vital for the interpretation of such observations, is the theoretical modeling of line emission escaping a galaxy. This workshop will gather experts from around the world for three intense days of presentations, group discussion and break-out sessions focused on simulating line emission from galaxies, at all wavelengths and all redshifts.
