Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Gender medicine is the new frontier because of the increasing importance of studying men and women differently. In the literature, several authors have recently been demonstrating the anatomical and physiological differences between the two genders. In fact, we now know that males and females, despite suffering from the same diseases, get sick differently and respond differently to drugs. Then, epidemiology such as morbidity and mortality ratios might differ between the two genders. Unfortunately, one of the unmet needs in the modern era is still knowledge of gender differences, and with this Special Issue we would like to better address the topic in different pathways (cardiological, respiratory, autoimmune, and so on).

Therefore, we encourage the submission of manuscripts (original research papers and/or reviews) on any aspects regarding gender medicine.
