With the exponential growth of information technology, the integration of machine learning and deep learning technologies has emerged as a pivotal force in strengthening network security and advancing the efficiency of distributed computing systems. This Special Issue in Applied Sciences is dedicated to unraveling the multifaceted applications of artificial intelligence in the realms of network security and distributed computing. Encompassing a diverse array of themes, the issue will investigate the deployment of innovative algorithms, tools, and methodologies aimed at fortifying the security infrastructure of computer networks and fine-tuning the performance of distributed computing ecosystems. By featuring research articles, reviews, and case studies, this issue endeavors to elucidate groundbreaking approaches that push the boundaries of what is achievable in the intersection of machine learning, deep learning, network security, and distributed computing.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
