ASSET 2018

The Belfast Summit on Global Food Integrity will bring together food-security experts from all over the world, spanning academia, industry, agriculture, NGOs and regulators. Over the course of four days, they will grapple with the dilemma of how to feed a growing global population with integrity - amid issues such as pollution, climate change, Brexit, food fraud and food terrorism. Its Chairperson, Queen’s University Belfast Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Chris Elliott, conducted the UK Government’s inquiry into the horsemeat scandal of 2013 and is determined this will be no ordinary university conference but a high-level, international Summit, focused on delivering a White Paper of policy recommendations. Keynote speakers already signed up include professionals from PepsiCo, WHO, FAO, WWF, the European Commission and US Homeland Security. Countries represented include Denmark, USA, Austria, China, Czech Republic, Belgium, Singapore and The Netherlands.
