Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

As an important structural component of bridges, bridge deck pavement provides traffic service for the bridge, and its service status directly affects the traffic flow and structural safety of bridge. Unlike ordinary road pavement, the support structure of bridge deck pavement is bridge deck, which can generate complicated and unfavorable stress concentration in the bridge deck pavement. Moreover, the deck of the long-span bridge is characterized by large flexibility, and the bridge deck pavement should work together with the flexible bridge deck. Accordingly, the bridge deck pavement has a higher requirement in material and structure performances compared with ordinary road pavement.

This Special Issue entitled "Bridge Deck Pavement Materials and Performance" will present the latest trends of research in bridge deck pavement, focusing on the development of durability pavement materials and interlayer bonding materials, maintenance and rehabilitation technology, pavement damage mechanism, and perpetual pavement design. The editors welcome the submission of high-quality research, technical papers, review contributions, and case histories on laboratory and in situ applications. Papers for this Special Issue will be selected via a rigorous peer-review procedure with the aim of the rapid and wide dissemination of research results.
