Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, affecting up to 2–3% of the worldwide population, with considerable physical and emotional burdens. Psoriasis management is challenging, particularly for moderate-to-severe forms of the disease. Moreover, several comorbidities (e.g., psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, psychological and psychiatric disorders, uveitis, etc.) may be associated with psoriatic disease, necessitating early treatment to prevent systemic complications. In this context, recent knowledge on psoriasis pathogenesis led to the development of new selective drugs, which showed promising results in terms of efficacy with a safe profile.

Aim and the Scope of the Special Issue: This Special Issue offers a comprehensive overview of recent breakthroughs in psoriasis management, from novel biologic agents and small molecules to innovative delivery methods and personalized treatment approaches. We explore the promise of precision medicine, emphasizing the importance of tailoring therapies to individual patient profiles for enhanced outcomes and reduced side effects.
