Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

As a heterogeneous group of diseases, it has been a clinical challenge to understand the different treatment options of head and neck cancer depending on the pathology, site, and stage of disease. This diversity of malignancies, anatomical subsites (oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, salivary glands, skin, orbit, nose, and paranasal sinuses), staging variations, and treatment options in the care of head and neck oncology patients has become a complex challenge for surgeons and all other medical specialists. The aim of this Special Issue is to identify articles that provide novel information related, but not limited, to the surgical management of head and neck cancers. We invite all potential authors to submit papers that focus on current standards of care, recent changes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of head and neck cancer, and recent innovations in treatment that impact the care of this patient population. We also seek papers that provide an evidence-based framework for providing care with the highest chance of curing while maintaining the best possible quality of life for head and neck cancer patients.
