Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The surgical management of diseases of the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas presents one of the most intricate challenges in our field as physicians and surgeons. Many approaches have stood the test of time, while others involve innovative therapies and rapidly emerging technologies.

In our forthcoming Special Issue, entitled "Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery: Clinical Advances and Prognosis", our aim is to deliver insightful updates on the surgical and multidisciplinary care required by patients with pancreas, biliary system, and liver-related diseases. We aim to emphasize evolving therapies and evidence-based methods to best treat the diverse spectrum of conditions that affect this region.

Our guest editorial team possesses a deep commitment to treating patients with both benign and malignant conditions of the liver, biliary tree and pancreas. Additionally, in this Special Issue, we have collaborated with specialists in gastroenterology, radiology, and other fields to offer a well-rounded, integrated perspective on managing what are often highly challenging medical conditions.

We look forward to sharing these advancements and insights with you, and we hope this Special Issue will contribute to the ongoing progress in the field of hepato-pancreatic-biliary surgery.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Leonidas G Koniaris
Prof. Dr. Brett C. Sheppard
