Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

World energy consumption from fossil fuels is essential to our economy. It is currently at 80% and it is growing at an alarming rate. As a result, the future of fossil fuels plays a crucial role in predicting the future of energy as a whole.

Having stable, sustainable energy supplies and prices is crucial to human survival and economic development. Despite the fact that every energy source has its own strengths and weaknesses, we must enhance fossil fuel's strengths and overcome its shortcomings and challenges to ensure its future.

Fossil fuels will likely remain a major source of energy. They will dominate for years as a major player in global economies and human lives even under advanced technology scenarios. We are faced with the challenge of improving the efficiency, economic, and policy aspects of the use of fossil fuels.

Based on this analysis of the role of fossil fuels and their future, this Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to the future of fossil fuels. It includes scientific researches, economics, and policy.
