Does the book or chapter reviewer know the author's identity and vice versa?
MDPI Books usually operates with single-blind peer review, where the reviewer identities are not known to authors. Reviewers should be careful not to reveal their identity to the authors, either in their comments or in the metadata for reports submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format. We have established the single-blind peer review in order to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest between the author and the reviewer.
In exceptional cases, and if previously discussed with all parties involved, an open review can also be applied.
