What does it cost to publish a book with MDPI and when does the fee need to be paid?

For chapters in edited books, MDPI applies a Chapter Processing Charge (CPC) of 1200 CHF for each accepted manuscript. Fees must be paid after final publication acceptance of the chapter.

For monographs and textbooks, MDPI applies a Book Processing Charge (BPC) from 8000 CHF for each accepted manuscript. The price depends on the number of pages in the book as well as the requested services. Fees must be paid after pre-check of the book. The full amount may be refunded if the book is not accepted for publication or withdrawn before acceptance.
