Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Over the last decades, there has been an increase in health threats resulting from technological advancement, the development of industry as well as negative changes in lifestyle and the surrounding environment, which has become a challenge for the global public health and health systems of modern societies. Communicable diseases are not novel for the world (for example Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Tuberculosis, or Spanish influenza). However, the global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has affected all aspects of life, resulting in fear and social isolation, and has led to numerous changes in healthcare systems. According to the World Health Organization, heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and other noncommunicable diseases account for 70% of all deaths worldwide. Therefore, high-quality health care helps prevent diseases and improve quality of life of patients.

This Special Issue aims to collect the latest research in order to promote public health in the context of global health issues. Thus, we would like to kindly invite you to submit scientific articles various fields related to patient’s health to this Special Issue entitled “Patient's Health - Global Public Health Issue”.

Kind regards,
Dr. Patryk Rzońca
