Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells are becoming popular nowadays as alkaline fuel cells, phosphoric acid fuel cells, molten carbonate fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells. Due to its relatively lower operating temperature, PEM cells encounter minimal thermal loss. They are too smaller in volume and lighter in weight, making them perfect for automotive and portable applications. That's why PEM fuel cells power all of the hydrogen-fueled buses and automobiles on the market today from major manufacturers, and why PEM fuel cells contribute to about 90% of fuel cell research and development.

The goal of this Special Issue of Fuel is to bring together articles that reflect the most recent advances in research and development of power generation, vehicle automotive power plants, and power units for portable systems, energy conversion, and energy applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Manuscript Submission Information

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Fuels is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
