FowiTa - German Forest Sciences Conference (Deutsche Forstwissenschaftliche Tagung)

We invite you to the Black Forest for the most important German Forest Science Conference and are looking forward to a lively scientific exchange and discussions. The main topics of the conference include:

• Impact of climate change on forests and adaptation strategies of forestry to climate change
• Biodiversity and Conservation
• Intensity of forest use
• The role of the bio-economy for forestry and forest industries
• Evidence-based forestry for a more objective system understanding

Four to five sessions are offered for each of these topics. The sessions are organized and moderated by colleagues from many forestry research institutions from Germany and abroad. In addition, there will also be a session block with free themes.

In addition to technical sessions, the award ceremony of the German Forest Science Prize, social events and a number of excursions complement the conference programme.
