Summary

This Reprint examines the reciprocal relationship between politics and religion and includes case studies from religions or religious issues originating in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Studies include a range of methodological approaches (both quantitative and qualitative) to address this topic and are not limited to a single religion. All are united by a common research thread of analyzing ways in which religion influences political attitudes, actions, or policies and the state or political actors influencing religious values, practices, or development.
