MDPI Open Access Book Recently Indexed in Web of Science

We are pleased to announce that the MDPI Open Access Edited Book Transitioning to Sustainable Cities and Communities (edited by Hubert Klumpner, Klearjos Eduardo Papanicolaou, and Georgeen Theodore) has been indexed in the Web of Science Book Citation Index (BKCI).  

This volume, developed within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), explores the concept of an “Urbanising Earth” and challenges the dominant Western model of urban development. Featuring over twenty case studies from experienced practitioners and design thinkers, it highlights the collective effort required for sustainable urban transformation.  

The book examines how thoughtful design can reconcile human and environmental rights, linking education, housing, and public space in the pursuit of more inclusive and resilient cities.
