Summary

Contemporary business operations are impacted by a lot of market criteria that have been described as uncertain, imprecise, and vague in recent years. Business conditions are impacted by a variety of factors, such as the global pandemic, geopolitical instability, climate change, and other issues that cannot be easily brought under control. At the same time, some unpredicted events may occur, so existing quantitative and qualitative models under the scope of management and engineering cannot be accurate and reliable. Keeping this in mind, the determination of exact values of variables that are used in conventional management and engineering models is hard to predict, and their previous values are not reliable for future use. The development of fuzzy sets theory has enabled the description of uncertainties which makes them a suitable tool for overcoming the aforementioned issues. This publication focuses on the use of current advancements in fuzzy sets, fuzzy numbers, fuzzy modeling, and their applications in management and engineering. It provides a platform for researchers from academia and industry to present their novel and unpublished work in the domain of management and engineering. This will help to foster future research in the emerging fields of management and engineering.
