Summary
In recent years, contemporary business operations have been impacted by a number of conditions that can be described as uncertain, imprecise, and vague. These business conditions are, in turn, impacted by a variety of factors, such as a global pandemic, geopolitical instability, climate change, and other issues that cannot be easily brought under control. At the same time, other unpredicted events may occur, so existing quantitative and qualitative models within the scope of management and engineering cannot be accurate and reliable. Considering the above, the exact values of variables that are used in conventional management and engineering models are hard to predict, and their previous values are not reliable for future use. The development of fuzzy sets theory has enabled the description of uncertainties, which makes it a suitable tool for overcoming the aforementioned issues. This Special Issue focuses on the use of current advances in fuzzy sets, fuzzy numbers, fuzzy modeling, and their applications in management and engineering. This Special Issue provides a platform for researchers from academia and industry to present their novel and unpublished work in the domain of management and engineering. This will help to foster future research in the emerging fields of management and engineering.
